The Background
The Vancouver Enterprise Forum is a non-profit society that organizes meetings and events to join members of the technology enterprise community in British Columbia. VEF brings together sponsors, high profile speakers, members and partners, together in fun, relevant and vibrant events, designed to stimulate ideas, conversations and connections.
The Challenge
The nature of the forum is to promote technology and this is what urged Christina McDonald, VEF Manager, to look to mobile payments to wow the VEF’s immensely tech-savvy following. “We were able to offer our guests a more up-dated method of payment for event purchases,” says Chris McDonald, VEF Manager. “Previously a cash-only basis, the mobile app was totally applicable for an entrepreneurial technology crowd!”
