What happens when you take the local tech community and combine it with ping pong? Magic. Or otherwise known as TechPong, Vancouver’s epic, no-holds-barred ping pong tournament.
On October 21, Vancouver’s tech community will take a step away from technology to partake in a night of fun, hi-jinks, and of course, some good old-fashioned ping pong — all while raising money for the Syrian refugee crisis.
Each tech company will raise money to send their winning representatives to battle via ping pong for bragging rights and a prize purse of charitable money for their chosen charity.
We here at Payfirma are ping pong enthusiasts (seriously, our ping pong table is heavily used), so what better way to decide who best to represent us than a little internal ping pong tournament?
And if you want to contribute to the refugee relief fund, you can donate here.
A ping pong tournament is no joke, so we’ve created an infographic depicting the path to sweet victory. May the best tech team win!
When: Wednesday, October 21. 6pm-9pm.
Where: Imperial Theatre, 319 Main Street.
Sponsors: Chimp and Shoes.com
